However, what is clear is that technological advancements and innovations continue at an unprecedented pace, whether evolving efficiency gains in mainstream PERC cell technology to next-generation developments with n-type architectures, through to tandem junction and multi-junction alternatives.<\/p>\n<p>This is being supported by an avalanche of new manufacturing capacity expansion announcements that are expected to see large, multiple gigawatts of TOPCon and heterojunction facilities ramp in the next few years with the intention of significantly lowering production costs, while boosting conversion efficiencies.
